  • Capital Globe
Capital Globe is a result of our initial exploration of the iphone API. It can be used as a tool to help you learn more about the countries of the world. The capital cities are shown as dots on a globe. By rotating the globe you can shift your focus between different cities and name of the country [...]

  • Real time tracking of a number plate using SURF descriptors on the GPU
Here is small tech demo of our CUDA implementation of the SURF descriptor and matching method for finding a correspondence between images.. Here we are tracking an image of a number plate in a live web cam feed. Notice that the frame rate is bottlenecked by the screen grabbing used to create the video and not [...]

  • Smoke rendering tool update
We just updated our smoke and density field viewing software, so it runs a lot faster and we are at this moment experimenting with realtime indirect photontracing and gpu kd construction. Life is good

  • Dr. Noe
Our esteemed colleague, Karsten Østergaard Noe, has received his PhD in computer science for his dissertation on Deformable Image Registration for Use in RadiotherapyThe critics wrote:The work presented by Karsten Østergaard Noe is of remarkably high quality combining advanced topics in computer science with intricate applications in medical image processingThe colleagues say:With great power comes [...]

  • Noes tutorial on deforming 3D geometry using RBFs
In the following I will present a method for deforming three dimensional geometry using a technique relying on radial basis functions (RBFs). These are mathematical functions that take a real number as input argument and return a real number. RBFs can be used for creating a smooth interpolation between values known only at a discrete set of positions. The term radial is used because the input [...]

  • Real time finite element modelling using CUDA
Here is a little movie showing real time simulation of non-linear elastic material properties using the Total Lagrangian Explicit Dynamic FEM. Three different sets of material parameters were used. Our implementation is done in CUDA. Thanks to Brian Bunch Christensen and Jens Rimestad for cooperation on the implementation.
